| Michelle teaches both Tai Chi and Self Defence. She is an | ||
| experienced instructor with over 24 years of practice in the | ||
| martial arts and other forms of physical training, including | ||
| t’ai chi, kung fu, aikido, karate, fencing and sword-work. | ||
| Self Defence | ||
Self Defence aims to help the body and mind draw on its own |
||
| natural resources. It uses posture and self-defence techniques from | ||
| martial arts such as kung fu and aikido. It suits those | ||
| who want something fairly physically challenging | ||
| but not as demanding as a traditional martial arts class. | ||
| Tai Chi | ||
| Tai Chi is an 'internal' system of Chinese martial arts. | ||
| Initially, it was practiced as a fighting form, emphasizing | ||
| strength, balance, flexibility, and speed. | ||
| Through time it has evolved into a soft, slow, and gentle form |
||
of exercise which can be practiced by people of all ages. |
||
|
||
| Tai Chi is particularly useful for actors, dancers, performers and public speakers. | ||
| Taster workshops and private sessions in both skills can be arranged for any interested individuals or groups. | ||
